- TIME-LINE: 1969 created SOUTH SHORE MANUFACTURING, SOUTH SHORE GLASSING and SOUTH SHORE SURFBOARDS. 1974 purchased WALKER FOAM BLANKS. 1976 created FLEXPAD SANDING PADS, NEWPORT FOAM and SOUTH SHORE FOAM BLANKS in Costa Mesa, California. 1974 opened SOUTH SHORE NEWPORT RETAIL STORE in Newport Beach, California. 1977 built a state of the art, 24,000-square-foot glassing,shaping and foam blank manufacturing facility in Tustin, California. Making it the largest surfboard producing facility in the world. 1983 left California, moved to Oregon and built a small factory on the Oregon Coast, specializing in custom and private label surfboards, sailboards and of course FLEXPAD FLEXIBLE SANDING PADS.
